Track looks good but yeah they can be too big sometimes and it doesn't do anything at that point but make it rougher on you (eyes: depth perception) and your gear (wrecking more and longer revving motors)

There is a fine line between a big track that works and a big track that doesn't work.

I'm just happy there is another track that will be opening. Is this going to be more of a back yard type track (freinds, club members, family only) or more public based? anyone know?

Having fun again!!!!

Guy is very open to anyone coming out and running. Its on family owned land, no mortgage.

I assume prices will be reasonable. That is ofcourse all up to the owners to set prices based on their business model. But I don't think it will be expensive at all.

wow looked at the pics more... man what really needs to be done IMO, is put the driverstand in the middle of the track, and put the oval on the other side.

For those who don't know (and wouldn't because they haven't been out there yet. The main straight is only about 20ft longer than LHR's outdoor track.) Its not that much bigger on the straight. Its just that there is so much more sq. footage there that the track is much longer. Its not all wide open running.

You won't be wide open for more than 5 seconds with a fast car. It will be a fast track, meaning higher speeds, but by no means is it a 400ft straight. My jammin buggy can cover 400ft from a standing start in about 7 seconds on pavement. Thats babying it off the line for the first 20ft or so to keep it straight.

The truggy will accelerate to about 44mph within a little more than 130ft, and wind out to 52mph (radar verified). On grass I can get it to about 40mph on good days depending on how hard I want to run it.

As for the long track, it might be, but don't knock it until you've tried it. If you guys want to check it out, email Ed off the winnescircle site and set up a time to get out there. Like I mentioned in my last post, these guys are really up for anything, If you want to come out and run your car and tell them what you think, then I think you should. If you think the straight is going to be too long, then come check it out and tell it to the man himself. Not just sit on here and complain it's an "engine eater"... Pictures are great, but you don't know first hand till you've been there. And like I said these guys are looking for help. If you think you can build a better track, come out and help. They are willing to change if need be, someone just needs to lend a hand or some knowledge.

hey bro, I don't think you need to edit my posts. I'm the one stayting on topic here with all these guys bitching about how long the straight is and blowing up motors. You may want to talk to people before you just go and start editing posts. From the few times I've been around you, you've been cool, but doing this isn't right. Well, with that post you are now off topic (along with my post).

Also just take a deep breath and move on, as there is no point in trying to change something that has been changed. I may not be the one to judge what is right or wrong, but I do know that there really isn't a point to arguing with a mod if the only thing that was done was your post was "edited", as all that leads to is you getting banned. So just sit back and enjoy the site.

Do you pay to run this site? No you dont. Until you do the MODERATORS will continue to do the job that the site OWNER has asked us too....

... Speech and chitownrc may be free too you but one guy pays to keep this board up and running and he can run it however he sees fit.
