I saw a Losi XXX at LH last Saturday, it was sweet, but they are expensive compared to an Evader.

I would get a the rc10t4 special edition rtr..full sealed bearing, lrp esc, 15 turn motor..same chassis as the kit. The evader is slower than a xxxt or t4 even when running the same motor. T4 IMO is the most durable and easyest to work on. Ive seen the rtr at http://ultimatehobbies.com/ for $205 shipped.

The Evader is a Decent starter buggy, but if you are sure that you are going to like the Hobby, I would go with a higher end from the Start. Either the Losi XXX-T or the Associated T4. The Evader is basically a copy of an older model of the Losi. My son has an Evader ST, and it is pretty quick, and handles good. If you are even remotely unsure about how you will take to the Hobby, I would say you can't go wrong with the Evader, fair price, and decent quality. Another high point on the Evader, is the majority of the parts are covered by a one-year warranty.

Short version....

If you are sure about the hobby, and have a little experience, Get the Losi XXX-T or the Team Associated T4.

If you are unsure and testing the hobby, and think that you will crash a lot, I'd recommend the Evader

im not completley new to rc ive been into rc for a long time. lol i first started with the tyco cars lol but like 6 years ago i got a tamiya hornet that car was oldschool. it had a servo to run the esc lol ya so im ok with a pistol grip control and i can drive ok i wont bust the car after three seconds. and i definatley want to stick with this hobby for a long time. so now that the evader is out which truck is better the XXXT or the T4. before i wanted to go 1/18th because my friend has a mini t but then i found out about leisure hobbies race track so im excited to go down there this summer and race my xxxt or t4. o ya and i forgot to ask i think i might go down to venture hobbies and get either the the xxxt or the T4 so do you have any suggestions on what batteries and charger i should get.

Thanks for the help

I would get the T4 personally (I just like it better, plus it wins more races)

batteries and charger will cost you about the same price as the truck (My two matched 3300's and a decent charger ran $210 with tax and all)

good batteries/charger is a huge difference from cheapies. I ran cheapy dynasport 1500's for years before I finally got good batts. I couldn't believe the difference. Night and day.

I ran matched GP3300 NIMH 6 cell packs and I had a digital duratrax charger.

Having fun again!!!!

Why get a good truck and cheap accessories, isn't that defeating the purpose. I would save more money, otherwise I have a friend selling a cheap 15min charger and some 1500 batts for $25

did you want the batts and charger from my friend for $25? it's two batts and one charger.

The batts were ten each and the charger was 30
