yes, but I didnt have the loot Tex, besides the shock towers, im pretty much done with it Im gonna get a prospec mbx5t in a couple months,then sell my standard and get a mbx5r

I used the brake set up from Kyosho (sp2 or st-r). It uses springs and cones in place of the tubing. It also uses a 2.6mm bolt and nut for mounting the linkage instead the screw that came with the kit. Overall I think it's not only stronger than the stock set-up but much more reliable as well.
Plus I'm more familiar with it having owned Kyosho kits.
I just replaced the tubes. They looked worn out so I will have to keep in mind about replacing them every couple of months. Or moving up to what you have.
