One good thing about this board...
People don't try to screw each other in the for sale/wanted section. ![]() "If you cook scallops in a non-stick pan, then they won't stick. That's why they call it NON F@#*$&%G STICK!!!" - Im watching YOU!- roc |

I've never bought anything person to person over the internet before, but can't you cancel a money order? If you can, the buyer should cancel the money order and have a new one issued and any new charges that are occur from this process should be taken off the cost of the RS4. If the seller mistakenly washed the money order its their own fault and they should pay for it.

it is a messed up way to do business, since there is no face to the person your dealing with ,when it comes to these dealings,i would rather meet in person then to go thru all that ,

I was buying shocks from this dude on UE yesterday and he was real quick with the PM's. I payed yesterday and now he won't return my PM's. It's only been a day and I'm leary. I bet he's just busy and hasn't checked his mail. After 3 days I'll really start to worry.

I have found eBay to be very good and safe. If you use their protocols for payment you always have payment protection against fraud. It is when you fo outside of eBay and start buying person to person that you open yourself up to con-artist (and I'm not saying that's what anyone is) scams and no-pay/no-ships.
Ebay considers 10 days a normal waiting period for deals to settle, because people do have jobs and travel, etc. and cannot check email everyday. So when deals go bad on eBay you are cooling it for at least ten days before you can try to cancel the transaction. Otherwise leary buyers would cause them too much admin headaches when deals are really just moving slowly. |
