Other Revo owners here have simppy removed it from the truck. You have to decide. The part does incorporate a "pad" that supports the rear ends of the arm hinge pins, which "could" possibly bend if unsupported by the brace. Other who have removed it report no bending in theirs, but I suppose anything could happen.

I ground mine for max travel and left it in. Funny thing, it is now cracked in the center. I can't figure how that happened? I prolly hit a tree or my son hit a wall?

That bump stop piece, you can simply remove it. It serves no function other than to limit steering travel.
