Racing from a roll is like beating off, it may be fun but its not the real thing.

Jim worked on the electronics today. He used the old trusty, cheap, reliable electronics that never seem to die.

He fit everything into position

Thats about when I heard hey, Jackass lift me up to see Jim.

It was none other the Jim's twin brother Rick.

He had been making a bumper from measurements that Jim had gave him and he came by to test the fitment.

Jim continued on the electronics by connecting the wires.

Jim got some double sided tape

He cleaned both surfaces with motor cleaner.

He then applied Firm pressure to the tape.

After pressing the reciever on he couldn't get the tape to stick for nothing.

(Jim) "Heavy duty tape my ***."

Time for something different

Much better

After securing the electronics he zip tied the wires and finished up the mounting.

More later...

Everything went well, Steering was still not the greatest, the tires need glue, the paint I guess it chips easy it must have not bonded properly with the chrome. Lost the windsheild in a rollover. I guess stronger glue is in order. But, yeah it worked great the tires performed really good. Jim had real good time he has a love for the mud.

Jim gave the truck a bath

Jim took a bath

Jane wanted Jim

Jim got what he wanted

Jim, tackles the gearbox issue.

He removed all the screw except for one stubborn bolt. He had to bring out the big tools.

Brrrrrrrrrrrr brrrrrrrrrrrrrr

BRRRR BRRRRRRR BBBBBRRR BRRRRRRRR, POW!

The screw came out easier the rest of the way. The holes in the chassis are so stripped out by the previous owner. This was the size of bolt that came from the hole.

Why does Tamiya like using so many gears?

Jim found the problem.

Spacer was gone for some reason causing gear issues.
