i just got put on blood bressure pills. the nurse had me at 220 over 120 double checked too, but i think she did somthing wrong... after she did that she was like" ahhh, how are you feeling right now?" i laffed and said fine. any way the doc re did it and got 150 over 90 and EKG said i was healthy.

Slim I have been on blood pressure pills for about 12 years keeping my pressure at 145 over 80. I also have high cholesterol for which I take a pill. A month and half ago when I first went to the doctor they give me a EKG and a chest Xray. and I was told that I was heathy but maybe I should have a Nuclear stress test and another EkG to be sure. so I did. all was good when I was on the tread mill doing the test but when I was done and sitting for two or so minutes after, my heart beat did some weird stuff. so I failed both the N.S.T and the EKG. so now its on to a heart catheter, and this test showed I have one totaly blocked artery, the one he said is the widow maker. when this one gets blocked your dead. but luckily the artery next to it was longer then nornal and was joined to the widow maker which was keeping the blood flowing around the block. so I'm alive. but now that artery is 90% blocked. as well as a one other one, which is 70% blocked so it's triple heart bypass for me. My heart is heathly and I'm heathy so the docter said I'll feel 20 year younger when it's all done. 5 days in the hostital and about 5 days after I'm home I'll be 70% and driving to home depot if I want. It takes a total of 3 months to heal to 100%. other then I had a burning feeling in my chest if I work to hard I had know idea I had a problem. So I'm glad I when to the doctor when I did because this burning I had was not so bad that I was going to stop working. and in a few months I would have just dropped dead. All I can say is if don't feel right go to a doctor and get check out. it can save your life. (oh sorry george)

thats good to hear Bernie. My dad heart 2 almost completly blocked arteries last year. One was 90% and the other was about 75-80% block. That was definatly some scary news to find out. He had to have a couple procedures done in a few week intervals because they couldnt do it all at once for fear of his internal organs getting overwhelmed and possibly failing. Its about a year later now and all is well. Takes a lot of different presription pills for like blood pressure and other things. He seems more alive now then ever since this all got done. Im happy to see everything went so well. You will probly be changing the track layout every week once this is done. Just do what the doc says and you should be just fine. When do you go in Bernbot?
