Traxxas 3.3 Engine

I was just wondering if anyone here on the board has had any results yet with the new 3.3 engine? I know a few people had mentioned that they were going to pick up the new 3.3, so before I send my old 2.5 in to Traxxas for the upgrade I'd like to hear any comments on how the 3.3 is performing, either good or bad.

I think its an awesome motor. Im still in the break in stages so its gonna be running a little on the rich side till about half gallon but I would definatly recommend it over the 2.5r. I think in about 2 weeks il be at leisure racing with it so your welcome to come and check it out then.

yea im running the 3.3 also and am also running a bit on the rich side for about a half gallon. this motor has definately more power than the 2.5r

once I got a decent rich tune it tempted consistantly at 200ish.

Thanks for the update guys. Sounds like it could be a real winner. Keep us posted as the testing continues.

Based on your initial comments I'll most likely be sending the 2.5r in to Traxxas for the exchange on Monday.
