My first nitro on-road... - 07-15-2004, 04:12 PM

I am now the proud owner of a Nitro RS4 3 EVO.

I bought it last night and began break-in and initial tune right away. I idled it the first 2 tanks and drove around slow for tanks 3 & 4 to further brake in the motor and break in the brakes, diffs, and everything else.

Some where between tanks 5 & 6 (don't remember which one) I hit something in the road (still don't know what the hell it was but it tore up the bumper a tad) that sent the car at full speed into the air. I didn't have the body on, so at least I didn't mess that up too. The result was a messed up steering servo and 2 fins braking off of the motor . The car now likes to torque steer to the left at full throttle from a standing stop.

Other than that, this car is fun as hell to drive, and fast too! I can't wait to race it at a real racetrack. I'll have some pictures up later today.

I actually looked at a nitro car like that today while I was getting gas from my LHS. I would have a hard time keeping it "on-road". I would have to big of an urge to run through some dirt.
