Cool Whats your favorite motor??? - 11-05-2004, 11:31 PM

The title says it all. I'll go first , my all time favorite motor has gotta be my sh .25 (24.7 pro) in my savage. Plenty of power, reliable, tunable, durable and down right cheap. It runs cool, reatarts hot and best of all it hasnt used up a single one way bearing. 2 1/2 gallons and still going strong.

I gotta say though... That sh. 28 that i recently picked aint too shabby ethier!!!!!

I love my NovaRossi .28 for brutal power and good reliability.. a distant second (as far as power) are the .247's.

.... And whats a novarossi runnin these days??? Like $329. I'd hope for that price it kicks the crap out of my $150 motor. I know there are much better motors than what i have but bang for your buck really matters to me.
Im not being a dick V-6. Im just making a point. Ive seen your jt run so i know you know your stuff.

picco .26 outlaw is another good bang for buck even though some are hard to tune. I've heard they are hit or miss with the carbs that come with them.

got my outlaw (P3 same thing) and have had good luck with the tune so far. It can be a little tricky getting that silver needle to flow from mid to WOT properly but that can be corrected by installing the black one. I love the power and starts real easy. $140 off ebay, NIB. makes me very happy

I'm never spending over $200 on another engine ever but if I do find a good deal on an engine I'm all over it. Tex is right on.. I picked up that NR .28 on ebay for $175 NIB. If it was regular price I would not have even looked at it. I totally agree with you though, a $300 engine better be way faster than a $140 engine.
