If it is only happening in certain areas of the site, but nowhere else, I would guess there is interference coming from the site. To play it safe, DO NOT run your truck there, because whatever is causing your glitch could also be affected by your radio. Better safe than sorry...

Roc & I would bash in a construction spot in aurora. Then they built a big precast building and painted it brite white, ever since then if we get to close to the building our trucks would get interference. It could have been an alarm system, or the color of the building could have something to do with it too.

For the most part, FM is a cleaner signal. Think of your car radio. The FM stations come in a little clearer than the AM stations, and are less sensitive to outside interference. In RC cars, the power output is nowhere near that of a radio station, so it is a little easier to interfere. Some construction sites and buildings may cause interference from radio signals "bouncing" off other objects, Alarm systems or other in use radio systems. Hopefully the release of the 2.4 Ghz modules will fix these problems.

Yes, that is where I bash too! I just noticed that there is another building next to the construction site(north of it). It is completely empty. So, I bash over by the parking lot and the dirt ground over there. However, that is where i am getting a lot of glitches!
When do you guys go over there usually? BTW, a Pepsi guy came over the other day to watch me drive my Savage. He told me that there is a paintball field in the woods. Did you guys know that? Or you guys built that? |
