Motor sounds rich and is bogging out. Lean it out, check temp
Tmax not moving---Everything sounds good but to me it sounds like the clutch is slipping??? Not enguaging...Shoes may be worn. try a new glow plug new engines can go thru them pretty fast, but this might be the problem cuz the plug might not be getting hot enough to ignite the extra fuel that is being put into the motor, that happened recently to me and i replaced the plug and everything was fine.
Ashes to ashes, dust to dust, if it wasn't for Ford, our tools would rust. |

you don't want to lean the motor or blip the throttle during break in. If it stays running rich that's where you want it. To get the temps up wrap the cooling head in aluminum foil and cover that with a baby sock. This was it has tons of lube from being rich yet it's in the temp range you want for break (over 200F)
When you say "the engine cuts out" does that mean it completely dies or it lean bogs and stays running? |

Sounds like it's too rich on the high end.
Here's a link for Het Cycling. Seems to be the prefered Break-in for some people. Heat Cycling |

Also, he said that the spur is spinning, so that eliminates the shoes slipping. It might be the slipper clutch or it might be that the engine just isn't getting to high enough rpm's to get the truck moving....
