same part keeps braking - 01-03-2006, 09:16 PM

i am hopeing someone will be able to help me with this problem. the first day i went to LR to practice i broke a front hub carrer on my K2. my buggy wasn't set up all that good so i thought nothing of it. yesterday with a much better set up for the track, and handeling better, the same hub carrer position broke twice.

on the front i'm useing the "B" block with 22degre carriers, i have a set of 20's also ,do you think they might run better?

any advice would be apreciated

20* is what you want at lh, they will give you more steering, the tighter the track the less degree you want.

Where is it breakin at

what do you mean cncd ones? alum?

thay keep breaking at the last tripple before the front streight by the stand.as far as the landings go, i'm not cartwheeling or landing all that hard. i have had alot worse accidents and never broke anything, always the other car got broke.thats whats puzzling me. a minor jump and i'm out of the race.

The side facing the rear of the buggy I assume.

My guess is you have your throw set to far, and when you land goofy with your wheels turned in, the knuckle end (part that connects to steering rod) is pushing hard against that plastic and snapping it.

Trying taking out some of your throw, my adjust your dual rate and or end points

Not if they are set right and with the 20* you will get more steering.

The nut on the steering link/knuckle should just stop before hitting the lower front arm
