Soldering Deans Plugs - 01-01-2006, 09:07 PM

I have a question on which way to solder them. On the package it says to put a male on the esc, and female on the battery. Is this correct. It is the other way around with the tamiya type plugs (stock).

Thanks

tamiya plugs are covered in plastic. if you put the male end on the bat and some how they came in contact with metal the bat could explode.

I am wondering if it is safe to charge mini-t batteries on my dynamite charger at 1 amp. Also is it ok if the charger's wire is a lot different gauge than the mini-t batteries?

lol, i wondered the same thing, the only reason the chargers wires are so much bigger than the mini t is because it can charge the big batteries also, the wires are made to hold currents up to 4 amps, but u shouldnt charge mini t batts any higher than 1 amp, i did it on the 2 or 3, and the shrink wrap melted off the battery, but the battery is ok. lol, ONLY 1 AMP!!!
