Virtual R/C Racing has a new version out...u can now play multiplayer over lan and over the net if u download a simple program this game is really fun if ure using a usb adapter and r/c radio. VRC Racing Game

Man I cant wait to start racing real people on this sim... this will improve your driving skill big time.The game itself is only set up for lan play. To create a game over the net u need to download this...Joiner Program

Firesprink and I picked up hte RealRace Gen2 simulator, it comes with the controller, and you can play online. It's pretty cool. You can even completely customize your own car/truck. It took some work, but I created a Revo. You can download new tracks and cars from the site.

This is on road only? I looked at the tracks and they were all pavement

The VRC is on-road, the RealRace has onand off road racing.

yep on road only free to download with 2 tracks. Il have to keep my eyes open for a used copy of real race. I was kinda leary of buying it cause it was made for win 98.

what transmitters have usb ports on them?? and does this game look realistic at all??? i downloaded a free rc "sim" and it was like cartoony

With the Real Race, the controllers have a gameport connector. The company recommends the RadioShack USB/gameport adapter, which works great. The graphics on the RR are pretty good, as long as you leave out the people and animals (a clickable option), they look like cardboard cutouts... lol You start with 12 tracks and 15 vehicles, and more are available to download for free.
