Todays Bashing Results - 10-09-2004, 05:48 PM

Had a pretty good bashing session today, albeit I was by myself, lol.

Had a few issues with a tree and bent my front aluminum skid plate all the way up into the front of my truck. Also had a problem with the remains of a pole I found under some leaves, we I didnt really find it, my truck did. Now my rear left tire is all bent outta whack.

I also managed to lose all the screws that held my rollcage on. Dont know how this happen, I used lock tight on the screws when I installed the cage.

Hopefully one of these days I will meet up with you all.

Actually I just went to the park across the street from my house. There are a few softball fields and a long parking lot. It just rained out here by me yesterday so there was a bit of mud.

Im am just north of Chicago in the burbs.

Figured out why that rear wheel is off set. I cracked the inner part of the wheel where the wheel nut goes. The whole thing is messed up so I had to put the stock wheels back on today.

those look like hotbodies wheels. Given that they broke, I would be willing to bet that they are.

Any oversize wheels broke so far for me. Velocity 40 series...stripped. Then, I got Outback with SC Adpater with Big Joes, one of the wheel was broken in the center. I replaced that one and so far it has been ok. I will see how long they will last. What other wheels/tires do you run?

Well, since I've only been doing this for a few months now, those were the first add-on wheels and tires I have bought. I am currently running the stock wheels and tires for my Savage. I did pickup a set of the HPI Q6 wheels (blk), but I still need to decide which tires I want to run on them.

I was thinking of getting some on-road tires since most of my time is spent in a parking lot. Some along the lines of these tires:

Q6 looks good. I have seen Q6 with Dirt Bonz. It looks really really nice. However, since you run on parking lot a lot, I wouldn't go with Dirt Bonz. It is gonna chew up everything in no time. What about just stock tires...it looks good too. What about Zombie? Any other thoughts?

zombies would work out great with those Q6 rims. Awesome traction on any surface.

Your talking about Zombie Maxx tires, right? Arent those off-road tires though. I am looking to put something more along the lines of a street tire on the Q6 wheels. I have the stock wheels and tires along with a set of UFO wheels with Mayhem tires on them for doing off-road stuff.
