I want to get started in 1/10 electric racing. - 12-09-2005, 10:34 PM

I want to get started in racing this year. I'm a begineer to fast racing but I have drove a few fast basher vehicals. There is a indoor offroad track in Madison, Wi that I want to try on a random weekend. Maybe there is a indoor offroad track near chicago to. I plan to race at the intense raceway in the spring.

I have a Associated B3 that I want to try maybe in the Sportsmen 19t class or stock motor class. I'm thinking the stock class because of lack of funds and experence on the track. What would be a good stock motor to run? I have a midnight2 but I got it in a trade and it may be worn out. I'll probably run the motor with my Novak Rooster with 3600ib cells and my MX-3 Fm radio. Any bit of advice? What is a general good racing tire? Is racing suspension in general a soft spring with heavy dampening or firm?

For motors, I'd get this one;

or for a little less;

For tires, the ones of choice at leisure were losi pink tapers. I used red, one step softer, but they wore out too fast lol...Losi Ribs up front.

I'm not that knowledgeable in electric though....If someone has a better motor for the $$ feel free to correct me...

I have decided to try the stock motor only class at r/c performance and hobby. Maybe I'll just rent one of their XXX-t's for a few rounds around the track. I'll post up some pictures and maybe a video of the track after I go. It's a really nice setup. Ill try to bring the buggy with in it's current condition I guess.

But if I do decide to race I'd like to get in to the stock motor only class. Because of my slow reaction time.lol

I don't want to be an ass but you kind of need to slow down and use some punctuation. That might as well be in another language...
