they might look good but looks are skin deep.. All those big mfg packs are made form cheap RX pack cells that were not made to handle high loads. I'd save your money and get packs made with good cells made to handle high loads that motors will pull. Packs made with GP 1100's, Intellect 1200's, CBP 1150's are the best out there right now.

GP intellect and CBP's are battereis that they use to make good packs.

Six, I have to agree 100% on better batt's being worth it if you are after all the performance you can get. I listed the $10 link because lots of mini guys are prolly like me; just looking for more batt's to have on hand for fun use. The good packs for mins start at $20 and go up to $40. If I were really serious on competing, I would get those and a seriuos charger/discharger. For family use, I think these will work ok.
T26, I just put in a Trinity Termination (thier first level upgrade motor $20). That, along with 7.2 volts and the right pinion and it really moves pretty well. With new pin tires on the rear and fresh pack it wheelies. Almost too fast for running on curvy track layout, as it wants to spin out the rear. Using a 5cell would tame it soem for more control, but who really wants to go slower? Yeah, I know slow is fast........ Fun little truck! |

$10 is a great deal for any battery packs and yeah for just running around they will work great but usually those packs are around $20-30 which are just as expensive as a basic unmatched GP, or CBP pack. the difference in power between a quality pack and a cheap one is unreal though. I remember when I first picked up my KAN 1050 pack for my mini-t. It could do wheelies from a standstill (no backing up) with all stock electronics and gearing. I was sold after that.
Now though.. well its too much. I have a couple of old KAN 1050's and 1 GP 1100 pack. Its running the SPY ESC, TRinity monster machine motor, HItec ESC (don't remember which one) and a bunch of other hopups. If it gets traction it doens't wheelie.. it flips over. lol. ITs a blast to drive on grippy surfaces but just uncontrolable on slick stuff. 1:1.. 01 Z28 Camaro A4 Sure.. its stock. 1:8's.. K3, Inferno GT, and a straight line beater car 1:18.. yeah, i have no clue what stage my motor is, do u have a ball diff in there? they are no nice! with the stock diff i blew diffs like every 3-4 batts with the losi speed motor i dont get wheelies but thats cuz i have it geared for high speed, i might try to gear it down when i get a new chassis and see what happens.
