Paddle Tires? - 12-03-2005, 05:42 PM

Does anyone make paddle tires for the Traxxas Bandit?

If not, what are the best tires to use in the snow.

Hm...If stadium truck tires fit, then I think proline might, but not sure....

Proline makes 2.2 truck tires. If you can put a 2.2 truck tire on there you would be set with paddles.

Ok. Some people said that you would be able to put 2.2 truck tires on there as long as you glue them.

they will be a tad too big, the rim is a 2.0, it'll work if you glue them good

Put the Pro-Line Sand Paws on an Electric front or Nitro rear Rustler/Stampede rim, that should make it a bolt on operation, I may try RPM Nitro Rusty/Pede arms on the back of mine with the standard offset Electric Rusty/Pede wheel I already have though.

If I put them on a rustler's rim, don't I need to buy the wheel hubs also? http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXJH98&P=X

Haven't taken any pics yet, but I converted mine last night with parts I had laying around, looks pretty wild and has a ton of ground clearance too!

Converted what?

I don't have money for paddles but I have some old slicks that I might buy tacks and stick them through and either glue or tape them.

Just got some thumb tacs and put them in my slicks. Only problem I see is no traction coming from the tire itself and that the tire is so low profile.

I will get some pictures when I mount them. Waiting for the water to boil to take off my old tires.
