Mr. Tune, Mr. Tune... I remember back when I was at the DeVry bash, you said this was one of those boards where you wouldn't care if people talked out of topic, didn't use an excessive amount of bad language or talk about what the boyfriend/girlfriend/wife/husband did to us last night.

I know this board has grown beyond the immediate locals of Chicagland, and people from all over the US, or the world even are coming to this site to lean new things, and throw an oppinion here and there. I'll set a good example.

Are we going to start getting the typical reply "Use the search button!", "Stay on topic!", or "Watch yor mouth"?

I love rules, and am only still alive today because of the rules!

No I dont htink so slim, Its just we have had alot of personal attcaks lately and a bunch of threads going way off topic. Mr tune wants this still to be a fun awesome place as i always has been, we just have to remember that there are kids in this hobby and they can access these boards as easily as we can. Just wanted to do a heads up just so things can get out of hand.

I am sure once Mr tune gets a minute he will address and explain better than i can

I would have modded any avatar I felt was inappropriate or one that lots of people complained about. No need to change them.

While yes going off topic was ok before, but I also didn't think the board would be this busy then either. Most of the offending material starts off when things get off topic severly. So we felt the best thing to do to address the situation is to try and keep things on topic. I don't see it as too much to ask

.

Besides, we do have a lounge here which is off-topic anyways. I harm in using it for those 10 pages of useless banter in 2 hours threads

If you don't like your post deleted or edited, follow the rules it's that simple.

We are NOT turning into the TRX boards by any means. We just need SOME control on these boards. Like mentioned, a couple problems went down in the past and we need to do everything possible to keep it from happening again.

I want this board to live a good long healthy life. I don't want it to die off anytime soon due to off topic posts and flaming.

We all have things we need to work on and it's going to take all of us, working as a team to shape things up. The 6 mods cannot control 260 members, we need the members to step up to the plate as well (especially the experienced, well known, likeable ones, they are the members that the other guys look up to)
