What color?? - 11-12-2005, 03:50 PM

A s I am beginning to look into slowly upgrading the Revo I am faced with a life changing decision... What color?? Green is out of the question as I don't think anyone needs to see another Greevo (let alone see mine get destroyed by mochowski's). There doesn't seem to be too many out there as of now and I am not going to be putting money into getting everything anodized. So what do you think... Silver or Blue??

I know that a lot of stock parts come blue so that would make the beginning of the transformation easy... but I don't know how it would come out in the end. If I went silver I could polish everything that is now blue... to silver for the time being. I was kind of leaning towards this because I would be able to run titanium and aluminum without much difficulty. What do you guys thing?? Also... any word of a lightened chassis coming out or is the stock chassis about all we are going to get??

Thanks,
FreeRide

If I'm not mistaken, don't you have a recently acquired bone stock Revo? Why not focus on track time at this point?

I do... I am just talking about when I break parts... as I have already started. I will be bashing and racing. I plan on hitting the track during open run time as soon as it opens as I don't feel like losing reverse yet. I will be upgrading parts as I break them (snap a stock arm get an aluminum or RPM one) pretty much like that. I kind of want to start out with a final goal in mind though. Pretty much a light basher/racer. Simple questioin... blue or silver.

I had blue on maxx. It was RPM. Then I started to go to Dace and UE stuff. So my color is silver.

I think both look good clean though.

I am leaning towards silver I think. There are some parts that only come silver and I am thinking it may look goofy blue and silver. Not sure though still...

chrome is a bit heavy but would be killer looking, I think a polished aluminum would be a good alternative for chrome
