TM/TZ engine spacers from RD Racing... - 10-06-2005, 04:08 PM

Well I just put in the little spacer Roy at RD Racing gave me. I took my truck to the park for a test run. No noticable increased engine vibration. (During assembly lost one of those damned little spring things that hold in the wristpin though!! Poinggggg.....)

I did, however, break one of his "indestructible" 8mm Revo stub axles in about 3-4 mins. I called him immediately. He's getting me more by Sat. but couldn't believe it broke. I couldn't either. I was just running on the grass with some 9" high bumps. With the 17t/36t gearing and a standard ratio tranny this thing is beyond insanely fast, but I was probably only doing about 46-47mph when I got a bad hop off a jump and the left rear tire flew off. It's always the rear stub axles that break. I'm hoping it's just a fluke.

I was doing 12' high backflips off the big jump in Dallas with Roy and Craig and I didn't break a stock stub. Those guys already had the 8mms installed and didn't break one either. Wierd.

well thought i would provide an update with this spacer with some pics. Pictures are copyrighted at www.greevoownsyou.com so permission is needed to use them else where

Still looks as good as the day i took the engine out of the box. Compression is really tight and everything looks brand new internally. The spacer works.
