Brushless Mini-Z Formula 1. - CowboySiR - 07-06-2007 Hi! It's been a while since I visited last but i thought I'd preview my almost finished project...a Brushless Mini-Z F1! After a bit of discussion on another forum I frequent, another micro nut i know decided to encase a BL setup on a Mini-Z MR02(RWD 1/28scale). His went so well I thought "I've got to try that!" and here are the steps involved... 1. Gut the F1 of it's ep(all in one thottle, steering and receiver board) 2. Wire a micro servo pcb to the mini-z servo motor and potentiometer 3. Mount and hard wire a Mamba esc(motor leads and power connections) 4. Make the motor(RZ micro car from Razor Motors: 5800kv) fit the alloy motor mount 5. testing the settings(I'm at this stage) 6. Decase and hard wire the rx and esc leads to the Spectrum 3500 receiever Here are some photos of the motor size comparison and it's fitment in the alloy motor pod...plus a poor quality bench test vid with my CA glued tires almost flying off the rims! http://s13.photobucket.com/albums/a258/CowboySiR/?action=view¤t=benchtest.flv Thanks for looking and hope you enjoyed the show...I'll give you guys an update when I finish modifying the body and (hopefully) a track test vid.
