Looking to run my revo w/os21 and 1/8 clutch w/o moving the tranny. Will this allow me to run the 21 w/o moving the tranny? Otherwise, here's some of the other stuff to choose from lol...

And which engine mount would I want to use?

I already have alu. clutch shoes for 1/8...Thanks!

Even with that flywheel you will probably have to do some modding. If you want I can help you since Gabe taught me...

I don't even know if I'm going thru with this yet...I have to see yours and if it's worth the upgrading.

All I will say is I have a new truck... there is no comparison...

a 1/8 clutch really makes that much of a difference? I've been thinking about putting one on my supermaxx in the future.

With a BB I think it would but not with SB.

I can tell a huge difference with the 1/8 scale clutch on the .21 versus the 1/10 clutch on the 2.5... I can't even imagine how bad it would be on a bigger motor. I am glad I spent the time and money and did it right. I will get an extended chassis and mark the holes perfect for the trans and I will be set...

Going to a .21 is what made the difference. The 1/8th clutch is only for durability and the fact that you can actually dial it in. Did you use alum shoes?

Will this work? - FreeRideFrosty - 02-01-2006

Yeah... oh... yeah. Those would probably be a big part of the difference. I know my stock clutch got the job done but it was not the best by any means... I may put it up for saly if anyone needs a stock one...

What clucth did you go with??

Will this work? - FreeRideFrosty - 02-01-2006

I got it off of Gabe for the most part... It is an ofna 3-pin flywheel for the OS.21 some 16t clutchbell, aluminum shoes and whatever springs he had. The bearings were some $1 ones from LH... Works well... shimmed up perfect.

Sweet! You should have just given me your Revo and $100 and i would have given you my BB Revo complete. ;D

Will this work? - FreeRideFrosty - 02-01-2006

:-( I would have done that in a second. Oh well... at least I learned some stuff.

it funner to make stuff work on your own Wink Makes ya feel like you acomplished somethingSmile

NovaRc 7075 shoes
Mugen 1.0 springs
HPI clutchbell
(that's what's in Dan's truck)

Dan, after you tune it, if it's undrivabley powerfull drop in a 17T CB and some .9 springs. That will tone the bottom end down and allow you to put the power to the ground alot easier.

Revo2K, read up on putting a OSRG in the revo. I've seen it done but the traxxas BB kit says it will NOT fit, period.

I told him that...but like Gabe says it is better to learn to fish than to just buy fish.

But I don't like fish!
