$60 bucks is a little pricey for a screw kit. I personally would go with 12.9 grade steel screws. Heavier, but much stronger and cheaper.

Tools and Titanium Screws. - Michowski - 01-23-2006

ti screws are not good for rc's. They tend to snap really easy and end up costing you a lot in parts because of it. Look for a good 12.9grade screw kit. Best screws ever.

Tools and Titanium Screws. - Notochord - 01-23-2006

thanks thats all i really want out of the screws something that wont strip so easily. what does it mean that its 12.9 and where should i buy them. also what do u think about the wrenches are they worth it???

I never used the dynamite tools, but I think tex has...

Tools and Titanium Screws. - Tex - 01-24-2006

dynamite actually work and wear good. They lasted me two years.

Tools and Titanium Screws. - Ponch - 01-24-2006

Trinity hex drivers work well too...

Tools and Titanium Screws. - Notochord - 01-24-2006

Tools and Titanium Screws. - destroy_my_revo_15 - 01-24-2006

ive hears that tonys is a really good place to get screws and im sure if you email them with some #'s they could hook you up with something

Tools and Titanium Screws. - Tex - 01-24-2006

you have the electric XXXt right? Tony's son races a kinwald edition so I'm sure he has a screw kit for it.

Tools and Titanium Screws. - snakebite46 - 01-24-2006

E-mail Tony, he recently got his hands on SAE screws and put together some XXX-NT kits along with some AE RC10GT kits. I'm sure he'll help you out. Great guy to do business with.

Tools and Titanium Screws. - Biodragen - 01-24-2006

On the tools
I got the Inegey ones for $30 and I am pretty happy with them.

I am actually wanting a different set but I dunno where to find them.
It has an OCTOGON shape with WIHO in it and they are made in Germany.
Also it has on it CV. MOLYBDAN with two dots above the A.
It is Black handel with a RED swivel end cap.
I can say worth every penny and very durable, I expect that these will cost.

Any one know who makes these and where to get them.

Tools and Titanium Screws. - db302 - 01-28-2006

I know I don't carry much cred on this site, but RC Screwz (sic) makes a great stainless kit for $25-. I was so impressed by the quality I ordered two for my Revo. Sorry I don't have a link, but a simple web search will find 'em easy. Later - DaveB

I bought my Wiha's at Grainger. A seven driver set was $24.50 out the door. Set #26390 I think it was. yep....http://www.wihatools.com/263sermm.htm.
I also have a Wiha philips screwrdriver and it holds great!

Tools and Titanium Screws. - Notochord - 01-28-2006

i got the drivers yesterday there really nice. and their a gazillion times better then the ones that come with the car. and i ended up buying thekit from rcscrewz because beatmytruck.com did a review on them and said they were really nice, and they are

Tools and Titanium Screws. - Tex - 01-30-2006

When mags and websites do a 'REVIEW' that means the contributing company (rcscrewz) gave a bunch of screw kits to them for a "good" review.....

Only screw kits worth a dang in the RC market is Tony's Screws IMO

Tools and Titanium Screws. - db302 - 01-30-2006

Allright, I'm just stupid then. RC Screwz sucks. I know my place in the grand scheme of things. Later - DaveB

Dave, Hopefully you didn't take Tex's post the wrong way. He wasn't implying that you didn't know anything. He does make a VERY valid point. One of the Forums I was on before had a few sponsers. If someone posted up anything negative about ANY of the products their sponsers make/distribute, the post would get locked and deleted, and the user would get warning points. The best way to get the real scoop on a product, is to ask about it in a non-biased situation.

Perfect example, Whens the last time you saw a Magazine give less than an 8 review on any products? Both RCCA and XRC gave the Losi LST a 10 on Durability, but if you talk to anyone who has/had one, they will tell you the LST had quite a lot of problems with durability.

that's just one example

The only screws that should be on the market are Tony's Screws. Nothing can compare for strength. Its all hex to you only ever need 3 sizes (2.5, 2.0, 1.5). My brand new truggy is torn apart waiting the arrival of Tony's Screws. He even gives you plenty of extra for each size. Nothing can compare to them. And the price is averaging like 25 bucks for a full kit.
