My New LSP! - Tex - 02-20-2006 A center diff distributes power between the front wheels and the back wheels. The thicker you go in oil the more "locked" the diff will feel. So you can just hammer it out of the corner, and you corner better with them under power. Oh and the revo keeps the 2-speed and has a center diff, at least the ones I saw. My New LSP! - kevinF - 02-20-2006 does a t-maxx have a center diff? sorry still confused a bit My New LSP! - Ponch - 02-20-2006 Nope it's got a tranny. My New LSP! - kevinF - 02-20-2006 doesnt the revo have a tranny? My New LSP! - kevinF - 02-20-2006       im confused My New LSP! - Tex - 02-20-2006 No. A maxx has a transmission which is more like direct drive (or something, someone help me out). If you have ever taken a front or rear diff out of your maxx then you know what a diff is. It distributes power to the wheel with the least traction. Well now imagine that diff in your transmission distributing power to the front or rear wheels instead of being on the back and sending power to the right or left tire. sorry hard to explain. My New LSP! - Traxxas_Junkee - 02-20-2006 a center diff acts just like a regular diff, if you hold the rear wheels and hit the gas the front will spin, go try that with your maxx, when you come back in something is going to be hutring... My New LSP! - Traxxas_Junkee - 02-20-2006 its like putting a diff for the wheels and tires sideways on the chassis, and instead of the drive shaft spinning it its a spur gear. Maybe thats a little bit easier to understand. My New LSP! - kevinF - 02-20-2006 ohhh I think I understand. lol I thought a center diff was where there is no transmission and the clutch bell hooks straight up to a gear wich is attatched to the drive shafts. My New LSP! - Mr. Tune - 02-20-2006 traxxas thrasher, in a buggy or truggy, yes, the center diff has a gear attached directly to it and is only 1 speed. A stock tmaxx or revo has a multi-speed tranny, no center diff. What people have found out though, is that there is enough room in the revo tranny housing (after revesed has been removed) to stick a modded up diff in there. Is in essence, a 2 speed center diff . My New LSP! - kevinF - 02-20-2006 ( the big ohh) ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh ok thanks guys for explaining that to me. im feeling:crazy: , but oh well thanks for explaining to me. My New LSP! - BottledBeast - 02-20-2006 so its kindof like a rear end of a car/truck?? (im trying to figure this out as well).
