I ran a Mugen 1005 last night in my 21bf. bottom end power felt great, mid it seemed to sorta fall a little and top felt awesome. Motor hits gallon mark last night and I think it finally woke-up. Not sure if it was the cool weather or what, but I was averaging temps of 235-245 and greating some awesome gas mileage on it.

Official Thunder Tiger ST-1 Thread - Casketman - 09-01-2006

Thanks rocco, like I said before. Only driving a revo before so all this stuff is new to me with the pipes and motors. I was alittle shocked to see 9 reviews all good about that nova motor. And they say that it is their 'sport' motor.
I am thinking either the nova or the werks. Just have to figure out a pipe that will work good with what I have been told here.

Snake/ Casketman
I love the 1005 i run one on my p5x and the 528 never dissapointed! I wish they still made that pipe though!

Btw... No problem casket, glad i could help

I believe the Mugen 1005 will be under the Ninja name now.

Official Thunder Tiger ST-1 Thread - rocco79 - 09-01-2006

Ive heard that too.. But ive heard ninja pipes are like a pop can...

Filled with soda?

Official Thunder Tiger ST-1 Thread - rocco79 - 09-01-2006

yes.... you should try making one

Official Thunder Tiger ST-1 Thread - Casketman - 09-02-2006

A-main has then for $120 special order

Also,we talked about the JP-1&2. Any word on the Jp-3? they say it is to be a mix of both the 1&2 pipes.

Official Thunder Tiger ST-1 Thread - Ponch - 09-02-2006

Try the JP-3 and see how you like it, like you said it's supposed to give good bottom and good top at the same time.

Official Thunder Tiger ST-1 Thread - Casketman - 09-02-2006

Just spending money!!! Sad lol Well I was wondering because it doesnt seem that many people really care for the JP series of pipes. Like they have not lived up to what they thought.

Official Thunder Tiger ST-1 Thread - Ponch - 09-02-2006

I like the jp-2 I'm running right now on my WS7II. Enough bottom to clear what I want, and enough top end to keep up with any buggy on the straights.

Jp-1 Good pipe for all around IMO... keep bottom end sharp and doesnt seem to hamper top end ... Also very durable

Jp-2 Not impressed with this version at all... Seems that any advantage this pipe may have on the top end cant seem to be expoited by my 3 port.. Low end was ok, just didnt feel nearly as lineal as other pipes....

Nova 9853 Another exellent all around pipe IMO... Very strong bottom end power no limit on high end rpm ethier... Seemed to rev just as high as the JP2 only with a much more lineal feel.

Mugen 1005 By far my favorite pipe. Low,Mid and High all feel great. Fuel economy seems very good also. Only down side is pipe feels alittle thin so be careful. If you can find one i would get it...

These are my opinions only ...

Official Thunder Tiger ST-1 Thread - Czech-it-Out Graphics - 09-02-2006

what about the TTR long? i always end up going back to that or the 053 no matter what motor im running

Official Thunder Tiger ST-1 Thread - Casketman - 09-02-2006

well as I said before. A_main has that 1005 as a special order pipe(you have to call to see if they have it or can get it before you place your order). I have not really looked at the TTR pipes yet. As of right now. I have a Werks Racing 086 One Piece Tuned Pipe w/Medium Conical Manifold in the shopping cart. I will keep in mind and look at those other pipes. Maybe the 1005 also.

Official Thunder Tiger ST-1 Thread - rocco79 - 09-02-2006

the reason its special order is because they dont make them anymore. I dont know if they can find one but good luck.

Official Thunder Tiger ST-1 Thread - snakebite46 - 09-02-2006

Casketman, how is that Werks pipe ? I was looking to get the 86 pipe. My RB 9886 has seen better days..... I'd pick up the NR 9886, but it doesnt come with the header and for almost the same price, the werks looks to be the better deal.

Official Thunder Tiger ST-1 Thread - Casketman - 09-02-2006

I have yet to try any out. Just trying to get a better understanding before I go and drop $90+ just to find out it is a way wrong pipe.

This thread is lacking pictures, and I happen to come across a bunch of great ones by alphanut on RCCNA.
