Question What your favorite chitown r/c style? - 02-28-2005, 10:44 PM

Well, I added a new skin for the site. It's a light colored skin, so those who problems reading posts with the dark skin due to their monitors or choice in web browsers can now easily read the forums.

I installed it with 4 color variations. Blue (default), Chocolate, Sand, and Citrus.

All members (and I think guests too) can pick which one they want to use via the skin selector menu at the bottom of every page on the site. There are now 5 total, 4 from the new one and the original dark one.

This poll is to figure out which skin should be the default skin (the one visitors will get when they first see this site, or members who haven't chosen a specific one yet). So, try them all out and then vote here. The highest one, will become the new default skin here. Until then, the dark skin will remain the default.

Enjoy the new look!!

The only problem I see with the new skins, is it loses the Banner at the top of the screen. Is there a way to get the banner in the new color schemes?

I'm going to create a new banner for the new skins. What's there now is temporary .

plus you lose the "last post date and time" so it's hard to skim through and see what's new.

Ahh, but you don't. It's there, but minimized by default to make the design look cleaner. Besides, just look for the dots on the left. Grey = no new posts, blue = new posts.

Otherwise, look for this when look at the forum home page. When you click it, it'll show the latest thread and post for that forum. It should be cookied, so once you set it, it should remember for next time .

Fixed it so the last post info is on by default. Now you can click to close it, instead of the other way around .

Dark was being hard on my eyes, but they are all nice. I picked Light - Blue.
