its ridiculoes when my friends r like get a hobby...its like ummm this is one! and i stopped being friends with one girl i kno just cuz she was like RC's r childish and now she hates me cuz i drome my old tmaxx around in her driveway at like 4AM after i kno she had been out partying the night b4 and i woke her up...then came back at 6 it was great and totally worth it...

ya i was like well if she thinks it childish lets see if i can piss you off wit it and rub it in your face but i have a dilemma now my best firned is going out with her..but like all my other friends rr tottally supporting my last girlfriend who moved was like thats so awesome....but really...RC as a hobby doesnt get as many chicks as telling em you can cook..which in fact i can...thats where the girls r at...i can see half of you single guys going and grabbing a cookbook this second...but most of them wanna drive em and its one of those do i make em sing a waiver...if it was a guy friend of mine i would be like sing here...but theyre girls and hopefully thet dont mess it up too bad so...its one of those ima just look the other way while you do this..either that or let em ddrive my 1/18th's cuz those things parts r really cheap for and i dont care about as much...

She really doesn't mind

man we really need the "she hates it catagory"! she will purposly make plans and leave the kid with me (shes 1) just so i cant wrench and figure out what else to buy. She will let the kid in my closet because she thinks it cute to pull the cars off a shelf and then procede to stand on it! what would you all do if you turn the corner and see your brand new waiting to be installed 20" lcd about to come off the shelf in the hands of your 1 yr old!!! man I dove like it was the last pop up in a world series! lol then again she dosent understand any tech type stuff at all. so when im fixing a car, rc, dishwasher, tv, flooring/homerepair.... I get the cold shoulder or death stare untill it does something good for her. although when it does do something good for her she does very good things to me!!!!

Just be patient, Rusty. You have the little one to corrupt! Start by getting an old body and trimming it down so that there are no sharp edges, then encourage her to paint it herself with a brush! Then run it! She will love it. Goto Radio shack and get a zip zap to run around while she chases it - more fun! Soon your little girl will love the hobby as much as you and then you will be Two against One! The wife will either get over it or marinate in her own frustration.
Mine knew better from the start. At least I got rid of my sailboat and I don't play golf! Talk about something wives hate! Threaten to take up golf! You will buy $1000s in clubs and crap and be gone ALL DAY every weekend. HA!

Lately I get 4 hours once a month to work on my cars, and when I do (she's at work) I get the "When the cat's away the mice will play" speech.
I need to find a nice quite job where I can spend my lunch hours working on my stuff. I wonder if Al's or Leisure Hobbies is hiring....hmm?

my wife totally hates it, but she tollerates a certain level of it, and she lets me have rc time as long as familly time comes first which is how it should be, i have almost been married a whole year and im still kinda used to buying whatever i want without consulting anyone, but im getting better, i would say i will buy whatever i want i dont care what she says but....... i like sex better than rc cars

mine loves to drive her T-Maxx and her newly aquired X-Ray M18MT (which used to be mine of course). I love painting bodies with her and she can drive it pretty well for it being her first R/C nonetheless her first NITRO.
