Though wise men at their end know dark is right, Because their words had forked no lightning they Do not go gentle into that good night. Good men, the last wave by, crying how bright Their frail deeds might have danced in a green bay, Rage, rage against the dying of the light.

Impossible to really say but I'd guess I've spent, not invested, including race fees and travel close to $4200 this year.

I took investment to mean your truck or trucks... There no way i could ever add up what ive spent on tools, loctite, zip ties, batteries, fuel to and from events, food, ect ect ect.......

I think this thread should be like how you stated costs in your thread on the revo.. Base r/c car cost and then add in hop ups (engines,wheels,tires,ect....) and then come up with a total. Kinda like when RCCA has a write up on building a super revo... They didnt bore me with how much the guy spent on meaningless stuff... They told me what he used, how much it was and then at the end they have a big fat grand total .... I found that very interesting...

I still found it very interesting that you had that much laid out to participate in the hobby at the level you do.

Now add in your man-hours at a fair rate, say $30/hr ($60k/yr).

Wow....I guess I don't feel so bad anymore. I've probably spent about $650 on my T-maxx, but I'll probably be spending another 200 this year.
