See this month's XRC. They have a tutorial on how to do them with contact paper. Cut them on the shelfpaper and transfer it into the body with transfer tape. Pretty simple method and far easier to cut on a table, versus inside the body.

If you don't have contact paper handy, yeah, blue tape would do. You just are limited on width of the design.

ahh but dave there is a way around that

Marty Korn used to do the tutorials for RC car and his trick was layout 3-4 strips of blue painters tape overlapping a tad on a sheet of wax paper cut ur design and peal the paper and its all systems go
