My new ride -
01-13-2008, 05:11 PM
I just finished designing my new custom stretch motorized bike. It will have a 70cc 2 stroke motor and will do about 30 mph while getting 150 mpg. I have a 15 mile ride to work and thought this would be a lot faster and more fun than the public transportation. It will be an electric blue and chrome. What do you guys think?

It's gonna have a 3 speed freewheeling rear hub and a V-brake in the rear. I'm gonna add a headlight and a couple round leather motorcycle tool pouches also. The rear tire is 3" x 24" and the front is 2 1/4" x 26". I'm also trying to have a shock suspension in the front.

No, it's not illegal if it's under 50cc's. Yeah, mine will be 70cc's but I have a 48cc badge on the engine. ;-)

Put some bodywork to cover the engine, and real good muffler and you could go covert. If you see a cop, hit the kill switch and start peddling.
LONG ago they used to make a small drive unit that friction drove the front tire from above. That would be very simple to employ as well. The long double chain would worry me, but then again, going 30mph in Chicago in January on a bike is worrysome enough. And I would paint it black with red flames, blue pins. |
