My new ride - 01-13-2008, 05:11 PM

I just finished designing my new custom stretch motorized bike. It will have a 70cc 2 stroke motor and will do about 30 mph while getting 150 mpg. I have a 15 mile ride to work and thought this would be a lot faster and more fun than the public transportation. It will be an electric blue and chrome. What do you guys think?

i like that it will work both on motor and off motor.

The worst dirtbiker is always one step ahead of even the best quad rider....
Racing from a roll is like beating off, it may be fun but its not the real thing.

It's gonna have a 3 speed freewheeling rear hub and a V-brake in the rear. I'm gonna add a headlight and a couple round leather motorcycle tool pouches also. The rear tire is 3" x 24" and the front is 2 1/4" x 26". I'm also trying to have a shock suspension in the front.

No, it's not illegal if it's under 50cc's. Yeah, mine will be 70cc's but I have a 48cc badge on the engine. ;-)

Looks heavy and with those big tires Id hope you never have to pedal.LOL
I would also see if you could get a rear fender. You would get to work looking like you let loose a few wet ones.
If you get away with riding that down LSD im bringing my little KLX. Ill have Fastlane FX print some 40cc stickers. But something tells me youll have every quad cop in the city chasing you.

2 cops came to my house when i was riding a little pit bike, so that thing will attract a lot of attention, it would be fun to mess around with tho.

Put some bodywork to cover the engine, and real good muffler and you could go covert. If you see a cop, hit the kill switch and start peddling.

LONG ago they used to make a small drive unit that friction drove the front tire from above. That would be very simple to employ as well.

The long double chain would worry me, but then again, going 30mph in Chicago in January on a bike is worrysome enough.

And I would paint it black with red flames, blue pins.

got paint?

Bruce-
Serious Question. After having design and build costs wouldnt it be cheaper to just buy a vespa? I know they dont get 150mpg but wouldnt it be cheaper and more reliable?
