Here is something you will want to be made aware of. It is called LOCK BUMPING, and it makes 90% of the locks being used obsolete.

im at school so the filter blocks youtube, plus any available proxy's, but i presume this is where you cut the key back a bit so that the part that fits into the lock is longer at which point you hit the back of the key and it forces the pins in the lock open?

It's based on vibrating the tumbler pins into a position that allows the lock to open.
Lock makers already are very aware of this, and newer locks just have stronger springs behind the tumbler pins and the bump keys don't work. But on older locks.....watch out.

yeah this has been known by locksmiths for years nows. Its nothing new just a trade secret thats just now making its way out to the public.

cool i just made one, im going to try it out tomorrow, that was some usefull info as a senior MP desk SGT we are alway looking for ways for the americans to keep their homes safe while they are at work or vacation, this i think will make a lot of them get better lock and alarm systems as well as my self.

Why would a crook even waste his time doing that.
When all you have to do do is give the door one good hip check. there is only a 1/4 of an inch of wood behind the lock pin. and it only 3/4 of an inch thck.
