Something different. Looks like some wheels I saw on a sunfire. And I hate sunfires.

Yes, I'm an american musclecar fan. I like german & italian cars too, just not quite as much.

I seen a few nice Jap imports. Supras, WRX's, Lancer EVO's can all look nice, and with some work can be pretty fast too.

Unfortunately too many suffer from being "riced out" with 20" rims, blue lights in the hood, ridiculous 2' tall spoiler, etc. That keeps real people from respecting them.

Several weels ago I saw a seriously hot-rodded EVO! VERY NICE! All black, polished 18" billet wheels, upgraded intercooler, etc. Very clean & very nice.

That I can respect. Sad part is it's like 1 in a 1000. The rest of the boy racers out there are putting on stickers (worth 20hp each I hear) and doing other silly "Bling" mods that at best slow the car down. I can't respect the average ricer.

I absolutely agree with you. If I was going to a tech school or working right out of college I would have a V-8 RWD something for sure. It's just that being in college and such I just wanted/needed a realiable car that I am not going to need to spend weekends home wrenching on right now. I have a VW and I am happy with it. It's FWD, so not too much money is going to get dumped into it. It's black, black tinted windows, smoked corner markers, etc. I will probably lower it a little bit this summer and sometime go from a 17" silver wheel to an 18" black chrome or gunmetal. Right now it is probably puttin about 200-210 or so to the ground. I have a few more small mods in mind that will get it to about 250 or so whp. IMO that is fine for a daily driver FWD car. When I am out of school I can almost guarantee that there will be a car being built.

Frosty,

The V-DUB sounds nice, and yes 200-250hp in that car makes for a fun daily driver that requires minimal wrenching!

This is my most recent picture. Like I said, I just want to lower it a little bit and keep it clean.

sweet ride Frosty^^^.............my buddy is a VW nut!!! he would love that

I have seen guys void warrantys with Honda's because they do all that crap...........
our celica is bone stock, Its just an action package made by TRD for the celica GT as an option, its the full ground effect package / rear spoiler but it looks/fits proper, not cheesy like a lot you see on the streets.........The only thing we have added is the following:

tinted windows ( which we had to remove due to a citation )
some white vinyl - Toyota Racing Development logos ( nothing gay, or no false advertising, lmao )
17" white tenzo rims / Nitto nt450 tires for summer
16" silver primax 105 rims / michelin all weather tires for winter
carbon fiber dash kit
tyc taillights, thats it, we wont touch the engine / drivetrain until the factory warranty is void, we can however add the TRD catback exhaust system and that wont affect warranty since its a genuine Toyota part, but it must be installed by Toyota dealer as well, I will post pics when its warm

Thanks! I was actually amazed how many VW guys there are in the area. We get together sometimes when its nicer out. Most of my warranty is about up so I can start palying with it. I have it chipped and it has an intake on it. The intake doesn't do a damn thing until I get the turbo inlet pipe though. (Right now it goes fro mthe intake to the restrictive inlet pipe, to the turbo..... need to free up the whole path.) The inlet pipe is supposed to let the turbo spool up faster and be the single best upgrade after a chip. Then I want to do a 2.5" turbo back exhaust, 4bar fuel pressure regulator, and a stage II chip. I may do an upgraded side mount intercooler, or I may not. I will need to see. That is about as far as I want to go to keep it dead on reliable.

I do want to build an R32 someday though. Nothing like an N/A V-6 that is a bit slower than the Evo's and STI's from the factory, but looks infinitely better IMO. Twin turbo it and it is all over. Hehe.

Nice looking GTI Frosty! My friend had one with a few mods and bright yellow paint! He absolutely loved that car!
