Maybe not for nothing. We still get solicitors calling our cells now and then. Maybe this will help. It can't hurt.

Oh no, that IS the do not call list. Since I registered on it, my home phone gets zero solicitors - unless they are so called not for profit who are exempt from the list. To those callers, I tell them verbally not to call again and that I have already chosen my charities.

Every once in a while I get a call from a Survey team and they try to get me to make a survey. When I tell them I do not want a call they say, "I'm sorry but we are exempt from that law because we are a non profit organization."

So when I try and get my number off their personal list them they say, Oh no, you have to answer this we can't remove your name from the list.

I called BS and asked for a manager. None available, EVERY time. And they would be calling at 6:00am in the morning. Finally I said that this was harrassment since I didn't invite them to call me, nor provide my number. They gave another bullshit reason.

Finally fed up, I recorded the next call (its a live rep) and told them I was recording it to play back to my phone company. I must have kept that guy on the phone for an hour until he was so pissed he started slipping and deviating from the scripts. Got him pissed enough to swear at me on the phone.

Tape in hand I called the company and played back the portion where It old him it was being recorded, and then the portion where he was pissed off. Now they are blocked from calling me at any hour of the day.

Pissed me off, calling at 6:00am in the morning to take a damned survey. One that the company "required" me to take. BS I didn't sign any contract, or purchase any services from them. I wish I could have sued their asses for loss of sleep.
