Howdy everyone -
05-28-2005, 10:52 PM
"thenewguy" sent me this address way back in February on the Traxxas forums. I told him I was interested in finding some Chicago R/C enthusiasts because I might be going to school in Chicago, and well it looks like that's what is going to happen!
I'm still not sure if pursuing the hobby is going to work out my freshman year but if it does I'd really like to get to know the local R/C community and I figured this would be a good place to start. Anyway, I've been in the hobby for a few years but due to highschool I had to drop it for a while. This past year I picked up a Revo and have been having a blast ever since and I hope that I will still be able to enjoy the hobby when I come to Chicago. Anway, thanks for reading this and hopefully I will see you guys in the not too distant future. ~Gonzo. |

Hey guys, thanks for the warm welcomes!
I'll be going to Columbia College Chicago, as I want to study film. I'll see if I can dig up any decent pictures of my truck. My dad took some of me running a local track not too long ago but I doubt they are developed yet. Usually I don't have anyone to take pictures for me. I have a video of myself, my dad, and a friend driving my Revo when we had some winter weather this year. In Virginia we don't usually get snow (9/10 times it doesn't stick, especially this year), but we get ice. This video was taken when it was coming down in what were basically tiny ice pebbles. It was almost like racing on ball bearings. I only wish I had had someone to film the next day when it was pure glass. My engine didn't appreciate the temps though. Anyhow, I'll try to find somewhere to host it so you guys can take a look, right now it is weighing in at about 37 MB. |
