You are not paying for a $600 "difference". You're really having a tough time wrapping your head around this. Say you want the best in video technology..... that would be Blu-Ray. Go out and spend $1000 to get yourself a blu-ray player. OR you can spend $600, have a blu-ray player AND the best gaming machine out right now......

Most people payed in full when they got the pre-order. Then.... they auction it off, pick up the PS3, and ship it out. Some other people sell just the pre-order and require the person to pay the rest. (Some pay the rest after the auction is complete.)

+1 Dan, you can buy an emachine for 400$ it might have graphics that are close but if u install more than one game itll be too slow to use those graphics anyway, I have a pretty good computer and with all the shit i have on here I cant play alotta games cuz they get choppy when too much shit starts happening, a game console is much better than a comp. Mich get the Wii and play pokemon, zelda, and mario cart all you want man

Mich.... I have almost that exact setup in my comp. I cannot play the latest games out already. Plus it will be slow as shit by the time you get a few games on there...... Game systems are the way to go if you do not want to drop $1000+ into a virus laiden microsoft computer system.

Mike I got about 8 different high graphics related games that I play regularly and I never see any choppyness or studder. I got COD 2, BF2 special forces, WOW, Max payne 2, half life 2, MOH series, ect ect. I use gametap also and play internet games on sites like that moto game tex posted. No choppyness or nothing. Just raw computer power with everything running nsync with each other.

Whats the latest games you are talking about? Need help building a computer? If so I can do it for ya. Only thing I have in equal speed is the video card in my links. Everything I have is slower then what I posted and I play all the new games of today and the older games.

Then you might be waiting for a long time. 360 has dropped the price only because the PS3 is about to launch and the PS2 is still either outselling or keeping pace(depends on the month) with the 360. But mainly because the PS3 is about to hit the stores. 360 is planning a major tv ad blitz about the price,new games and all that hoping they can pull some people away. But I doubt it will work.

Prices are $500 or $600,and one of those links,last one I posted I think. Tells you what you get with either system. So the choice is yours. But I wouldnt hold my breath on a price drop anytime soon.
