The Tweel... yes Tweel.. 1:1 tires with no air! - 01-14-2005, 11:16 PM

http://www.sportbilen.se/e_index.php...news.php?id=89

deffinetely a strange looking setup but a great idea. the car would look weird with the open spokes. it would look like its floating. I read for producton, the spokes will be covered to look like traditional tires.

i could see it for a bobcat, but what about a sports car? it might create to much over steer with out any roll in the tires.

Yeah, And you would think mud and snow would easily cake inside the "tire" and really throw thae balance outta wack! It probaly doesnt matter on a bob cat that does like 4 mph , but a car traveling at roadway speeds would realy be affected

For production they will probably make it look more like a regular tire this will solve the issues you guys were mentioning those pictures were of test models not production. Just my 2 cents...

yeah the pics they show now are just pre-production. they are showing off the technology.. the actual production setups will have normal looking tire sidewalls.
