what file sharing program does everyone use? - 12-20-2005, 03:20 PM
i'm looking for a new program, i was using winmx, they got shut down. then i went to limewire, that just put a lot of adware on my parents puter. so now i'm looking for a new program.

ive had lime wire for a while and i didnt get spyware, adware or viruses, bearshare is another story

Squirell, try downloading Microsoft anti-spy. It is the Best Anti-spy program I have found BY-FAR.... I have Limewire and have had no problems with spyware.

Another option, is to use Bit-Torrents. You need a program such as Bit-Comet or Azareus to download, but I have had no problems at all with viruses or spyware.

i loved limewire, but couldn't deal with the adware will try you suggestions newguy!

file sharing is not a crime if you have a liscence for the file! thats the beauty of limewire you can select to only download files that have one! ooooohhhhhhh yeah!!!

torrents, and DC++
for a bit torrent client use utorrent, and for a dc++ client use LDC++ or the regular DC++ client..

I've downloaded over 10gb of just music this last week via torrents.. and I'm sharing 347.9GB in private DC++ hubs..
