Picking up my first handgun today! -
11-09-2005, 12:19 PM
I'm so excited. Glock 17.
Not the prettiest gun out there, but it's the only gun I've rented that has never jammed or not fired, or whatever. It's dead reliable, plus light weight for easy aiming (at least for me).![]() "If you cook scallops in a non-stick pan, then they won't stick. 7, it's for target shooting. I love it! It's a great feeling to fire a firearm. Summer equals = outdoor clays and winter = indoor range
.I'm also very safe with them. For instance, there are no live rounds in my entire house and both my shotgun and handgun have trigger locks on them. "If you cook scallops in a non-stick pan, then they won't stick. That's why they call it NON F@#*$&%G STICK!!!" - Im watching YOU!- roc |

Tune, Glock 17 is a great choice!! light weight, porcelin slide, plastic grip,17 round clips.
In 4 years i've never had ANY problems with it, it was very reliable. I regret getting rid of it in a trade ( cash & .44mag) but times were hard and I did what I needed to do. I used to live at the range, at least twice a month with my girl, but have'nt been back in a couple years. Shooting a 9 1/2" barrel .44 mag with a scope is fun but gets old pretty quick, not like my glock that was easy to tow to and back from the city discretly, now this big monster is a pain to take anywhere, and after a day of shooting and reciting DIRTY HARRY's " Do you feel lucky punk" my hand gets pretty sore and bruised, i'd rather rent @ the range . The Illinois ban has been lifted, so no more wimpy 9 or 10 shot clips. So Tune enjoy!!!! |

Opps. :o Dave ur right, I meant to edit that before I posted. I think I still had this in my head
"That punk pulled a Glock 7 on me! You know what that is? It's a porcelain gun made in Germany. It doesn't show up on your airport X-ray machines, and it cost more than you make here in a month." John McClane DIE HARD 2: DIE HARDER the 17 slide is indeed steel and the frame was Nylon 6. |

Hollywood!!! When do they ever get it right????
I like the 92FS as well. Another good service sidearm that has served our country well. If I had the money (and how many times do we start with that statement?) I'd go for a Sig P226. Always liked them. Add a Hogue HandAll grip to that Glock and it's a nice pointer. |

Ooh, guns, guns, guns! Tigers are playing [taps table] .. tonight! I never miss a game!
Clarence Bodikker - RoboCop Matrix agents shoot one handed OF COURSE ! They aren't real people. And Morpheus's Glock never needs reloading in the freeway chase in M2, either, Cuz he's imagining the whole thing!!! Still good TV !!! |
