Did you like wedding crashers or 40 year old virgin? - 10-10-2005, 06:20 PM

If so, check out "waiting...". I saw this last night and I laughed my ass off! Rude and crude baby, it's what made wedding crashers and 40 year old virgin great.

Being as I have worked in the restaurant business, I must say the behind the scenes stuff is a tiny bit over done, but not way off, lol.

One tip I'll give to all of you. NEVER walk into a restaurant 5 minutes till close! I've known this for a long time. This movie captures it all to well. Ahhh, memories...

I haven't seen the movie yet, but it is definately on my "Got to see" list.

In addition to this thread, maybe it would be interesting to hear from people who have worked in "Food service" or "Bartending" and hear some of their "Revenge tactics".

I had one particularly HORRIBLE customer on a regular basis. They would complain about every little thing... "The soup is too cold", "Why doesn't this taste like last time" and of course, during an unusually busy lunch hour, "What is taking so long". I probably could have ignored their complaints, if there was at least a hint of a tip. One day, just for kicks, I took back a soup that was "Too cold" and poured 2 garnish cups of HOT Gardinera *sp* into the soup. As they sucked down the soup, I tried to hold back my laughter as I watched them turn red.

Do not go gentle into that good night, Old age should burn and rave at close of day; Rage, rage against the dying of the light. Though wise men at their end know dark is right, Because their words had forked no lightning they Do not go gentle into that good night. Good men, the last wave by, crying how bright Their frail deeds might have danced in a green bay, Rage, rage against the dying of the light.

I've done ONE thing in my duration of 4 years at Arby's. We served a "Hot Ham and Cheese" and this lady came up yelling "why is my ham sandwich hot?" I said "ma'am it's a "hot ham and cheese" she yelled "I want a cold ham and cheese" I said "ok"
so I proceed to hawk a nice thick brown one in her "cold ham and cheese". lol

I know a buddy of mine pissed in the 5 gallon bucket of sliced pickles when he worked at MCD's. Of course they served the whole 5 gallon bucket because you couldn't smell it mixed with all that vinegar.

Having fun again!!!!

If we were starting to close up shop a little early because there was no business late and some jackass came in at 5 minutes til close, we simply grab what we needed out of the wasted food basket and re-heated it.

One guy had the nerve to order a burger once real late. It was one of those special orders, without this and extra that type crap. He wants to be picky that late when were trying to go home? Lets see here, he wants extra mustard? No prob., I'll give him extra mustard! I added a few spoon fulls on there. Mustard was oozing everywhere. Hahaha.
