It was a Joke Tommy. I didn't say YOU used that excuse, but a LOT of Cubs fans did. They even had a "Break the Bartman curse" event in which they destroyed the "cursed" foul ball.
It's all good. In the end, the team that fights the hardest will win.

i wasn't upset sorry if that post seemed that way! i hate all the curses(goat bartman etc.) it's all b.s. we need better players! i think instead of fans going to get drunk i say we boycott wrigley until we get a good team!! the owners will never put a good team on the field if their still gonna fill the seats everyday! if only 5000 people show up maybe they will get the message that we want a winning team and not just a team that we can watch while getting plastered(is fun though). i do not, in my heart, want the sox to win the world series because being a cubs fan will be a lot harder! we already get chit just for being the fans of a losing team, i do not need to get more chit because they won the series! i have never gotten in a fight over a baseball team but i'm coming close! next year will be even harder, because the sox have made it this far! good for them but don't shovel this chit in my face! i will never like another team because they are winning(nothing against anyone on this board) like i said in an earlier post the bandwagon fans have come out in force because they are this far! we will see how many fans they have after next year if they don't get this far again! btw why do the sox want journey to sing "don't stop believing" isn't that what cubs fans have been saying for years!!!!!!!?
p.s. sorry if this doesn't make sense to anyone besides me! and go houston j/k

that was an awsome game, i could care less who was playing! when i left the bowling alley it was in the 8th got to my friends house it was in the 9th left her house in the 11th got home and they were still in the 11th. and it's a 10 mile drive each way. amazing game. have to give it to the astros for hangin in that long

I fell asleep at the bottom of the thirteenth inning. Had to look up the score this morning. It was a tight game. Best world series I have seen lately even though the astros are gonna get swept most likely.

That was history in the making. Too bad there was another bad call (the Homer). Luckily it all turned out fine, and it was fun to watch the Astro Manager swear and throw chairs!!!
