You mean like this?

I got one of these engines for my rustler about a month ago. And my rustler is only 2 months old. Here are some more pictures if you would like to see them.

Nitro Rustler pictures

Also a short video its my first video by the way.
Running a Traxxas Nitro Rustler, OFNA Picco .26 MAX, Gladiators & Losi tires. The video was shot in my front yard. I used my digital camera to take it so it has no audio & the camera was fixed upon a tripod. In this I was using my helicopter radio to try and control the truck because my left hand is in a cast & I can’t hold the pistol grip radio. Still a bit hard to drive it this way. But at least now I can somewhat control throttle & brakes by pushing on the stick. The heli radio sys uses an 8 cell 9.6v receiver battery pack witch is fairly heavy. And it’s located under the front shock tower on the truck. This helped my steering even better than the stock radio with the 4 AAA cell pack I use up front. Well it helps when the tires are not in the air anyways lol. Let me know what you think for a first time vid.

Engine in this video isn’t tuned for the best performance. I was just keeping it running rich & cool today. About 225 deg. This tuning for cool temps & less performance also helps me keep it on the ground.

If you have trouble viewing that video try this one its a .mov file

If this video is with extra weight in the front you need some serious ballast! That thing is seriously overpowered, even with wheelie bars.

Maybe a front wheel drive only conversion?

Overpowered is FUN.

Technically, it is just for fun anyway, since there is no "class" for a Big Block Stadium truck. Since it can't be raced anyway, who cares if it Wheelies like that. It's fun to watch...

I love fast and fun, too. And wheelies are ok for a couple times, but if they slow you down, what good are they? And as NirtoSS says, they do take away some steering!!

It is a cool-fast truck. Especially on those road rage tires. I am sure this one has some real top end potential.

The FLM chassis kit might help, I know it did with my pede. Even though it was lighter the weight was distributed differently.

Yeah it’s definitely fun to drive. I can keep the front end on the ground fairly decent just moderating the throttle. I was just goosing it a bit in the video to play around. I plan on getting some new gears to gear it a bit higher. Then look for some more top end. I figure I have alot of low end I can spare. Also I am going to get a slightly larger carb to get a few extra RPM's for top end. Just sucks because I can’t do much of anything with my hand all busted up for a while.

Out here where I live it’s mostly open country with not many neighbors. So I have alot of open land to bounce around. But I am the only person around with an RC so it gets sort of boring not having others to bash around with. Guess that’s why I put that engine in the truck just to make it more fun to drive. I found a track in the next larger town from me. They said common out sometime and race it with them. I asked about engine restrictions for their 2wd nitro st class. They said it doesn’t matter, just bring what you have. But I didn’t say what I had I just asked if there were restrictions lol. I might go try it sometime just for fun. I need to buy some other parts first to make the truck stronger for jumping. Cause being its only 2 months old its still has mostly stock parts on it .

I might try to make a new video this weekend with sound & some better shots if all goes well.

I have the picco .26 full size and that motor is extemley finky . It will run like a raped ape on to die for no reason at all. Good smoke and temps in the low 200's. Does this new mid block suffer from the same problems???

I haven’t had much trouble out of it. Once I found a good sweet spot for the carb. Past few days I've run it I have been seeing temps of 230 at the most. Plenty of smoke & consistent power.
