All this talk about warming up street tires?!??!?!

C'mon guys... You all SHOULD know better than that....... You dont do big smoke shows with street tires! It doesnt help AT ALL!

He did the right thing he chirped the tires twice to scuff of the rubber and clean the contact patches. Thats all a street tire needs.

If the engine is front mounted and transverse then its most likely going to be a front split system by default, it can be biased to the rear but most of the time they are biased to the front.

Lamborghini and Porsche use a rear biased system that only engages the fronts when the rear begins to slip. The Nissan Skyline system is like this too, as well as some Audi's.

Rocco is right (did I just say that? lol)

If you heat a street tire, it'll make your traction worse! They are not meant to run hot. I quick spin, enough to clean off rocks and dirt, is all that's needed.

You're kinda making sound like he was racing a 4 cylinder minitruck instead of a Lightening there Wasn't there a Toyo Tires sponsored 911 (I think it was a 993 which should have been the last of the original 911 platform IIRC) that not only ran those kind of times and speeds in the quarter but would also carry the front tires for most if not all of the first 60' on Toyo road race tires.

Unless they're Wrangler RT/S tires, I hear that's the only way to get any traction from those

did you hear that they are going to start showing porno movies at the gas pumps
so you can see someone else getting screwed at the same time
I went into the gas station today and asked for
five dollars worth of gas......The clerk farted and gave me a receipt.

man you guys are silly.. It was an AWD car... it was converted to RWD.. how do I know this for sure? because I clicked on the guys user name on putfile and looked at his pics and discriptions. there is an album titled "RWD CONVERSION" lol!

http://www.putfile.com/joetwint/images

with that much power I highly doubt the FWD components would hold up at all.
