you can tell she is scared to just let the car go wild. Shifting is way to slow, engine never revs high. That car would have been driven a lot faster I think.

Vipers don't rev that high anyways. She wasn't short shifting. Scared of hitting the go kart? I think she has ever right to be wary there, a nudge from her could send him under her wheels.

Sabine Schmidt can drive, I'm not saying she's the best driver int he world, but she can drive. My mom went to Germany for the World Cup and took a ride around the Ring with Sabine while visiting. The video below shows what she can do while holding back because of passengers in a non-race car. a V10 M5.

i dont think this comparison is very fair though. the viper sux as a road course car imo.

i think a mitsibishi lancer evo in race trim would have wasted that kart.

dont get me wrong, that kart is killer but the viper is a pooch in the corners.

They seem to have done well enough against other cars when lap times are compared. And it has done very well in ALS as well as SCCA.

Honestly though, the power to weight, as well as available traction of the go kart is much higher. Top speed is limited, but it has good acceleration, braking, and cornering. Also, because of the go-karts size it can use much more of the track when cutting the apex so it actually needs less grip to maintain the same speed because the corners aren't as sharp. I don't think I've ever seen a video where a shifter cart hasn't beat a car on a small track. Small tracks favor small, lightweight cars because there isn't enough room for the heavier, more powerful cars to stretch their legs. But put a cart on a large track like Road America, Road Atlanta, Sears Point, Nurburgring and the larger, heavier cars will win because of their higher speeds.
