Resizing Pictures - 06-23-2006, 05:33 PM

HOW TO EASILY RESIZE ONE OR MORE PICTURES ON YOUR COMPUTER:

Install ImageResizer.exe. It adds an option in the menu when you right click on one or more pictures. Simply select pics, right click, click on "resize images," and tell it what to do. Its priceless. Literally.

Microsoft PowerToys for Windows XP

Scroll down on the right hand side and install "ImageResizer.exe".

UP-LOAD SERVICES
After you have resized your pictures, you can upload them onto the Internet to use on forums. Here are a couple of sites. I use photobucket.com:
Image hosting, free photo sharing & video sharing at Photobucket
ImageShack.com - Your Photo and Imaging Portal [imageshack.com]
Putfile - free videos and photos sharing!
VillagePhotos-Free photo hosting, free image hosting, picture upload, free picture hosting, eBay selling tools, listing management, picture hosting and image management.

When you install ImageResizer.exe, you will have the following choices to pick from regarding the size you want.

large (fits a 1024x768 screen)

medium (fits a 800x600 screen) LARGEST ALLOWED BY MOST FORUMS

small (fits a 640x480 screen) PREFERRED

handheld PC (fits a 240x180 screen)

I use this thing: http://www.virtualzone.de/resizer/

It lets you choose the compression rate and relocates the smaller images. Makes it pretty easy to keep high res pics the make a clone of all of them in a different folder as a smaller size.

Thanks for that. I'll add this in.
