I use the Dubro Body Scissors and Body reamer kit. Seperate, they cost about $30, but together in this kit they were $12. I use the body reamer to make clean body holes, and just gouge out a hole where I want the engine, and then carefully cut from the hole, the rest of it out with the body scissors.

If you make good sharp score line with an xacto knife, the lexan will just simply tear/peel along the line. It's hard to believe until you see it. But it's the easy way, especially on round holes. They turn out nice. Try it on some scrap plastic, like the stuff electronic toys come in.

I use a dremel and its just the easiest way to do it in my opinion, you can get everything smooth and perfect lines
