is the diff sealed? or you just grease the diff balls?????????

diff is not sealed. Same trans as a pede only steel gears like the vxl

Hey Bernie, how often do you have to refill that diff with the 30k oil?

I've packed heavy grease in the Pede and Bandit before and may end up trying to use Mobil 1 synthetic grease on the Pede's diff, but when I tried Ofna 120k it still ran out before I had the chance to put it in (I waited till I killed the last plastic gear diff I had in it with the VXL before then.)

And now back to our regularly scheduled lunacy................

Not sealed and uses a planetary setup, the stock internals are the same powdered metal gears as the VXL trucks as Jeff said. There is a plastic geared ball diff offered for $60, but I've never used in on my Pede or Bandit and don't know if I'd trust it with the kick that VXL can put out on 7.2v

I don't get how anyone is putting fluid in it if it isn't sealed...

LSP lots of Khz, Werks .28 8 port.

Revo 2.5, TRX 3.3 Engine, Center Diff. Fast and Turns on a dime.

Depending on the thickness, it goes in well, it just may not stay in there for very long. That's why I prefer a thick grease in that diff.

well.... I cant believe it. Bought i just picked one up! I own a trax..... a own a traxx...... i own a traxxas.. whew, still hard for me too say without puking! LoL!!! (tough for me too cuz its not spitting oil and noxious fumes)
Seriously though i know this slash is just a bandit/stampede/rustler but so far its a blast! i cant wait to rock this bitch around the track!
