why don't we ban all cars that are older than 3 yrs old, they are polluting america...

this don't matter to me much, I quit last week, but if I hadn't I'd be pretty pissed about htis commie freakin' state adding another thing to their list of freedoms that I can't enjoy! This is bullshit...

but whatever.. if we keep these asshole politicians in office we'll eventually lose all of our freedoms! (they are slowly disappearing boys and girls)

Ya know what mike.... I will admit your an extremely BOOK smart kid... I have to say that all your A.P. classes have made you a real sharp individual at a young age BUT... Untill you live from under your parents roof and arent nursing from theyre Tit i really dont want too hear it, because the world you have been taught varies a little from what you think YOU've learned in the classroom. but back to the subject, I can not understand banning all public smoking, that's shit! how about if we ban dipping, I personally think that dipping is right up there with giving oral sex to a donkey, pretty disgusting, if you'd stick that crap in your mouth, guess what that donkey would like to stick in your mouth. It's absolutely disgusting, the spit bottle, the shit hanging from your lip, the bulge in your lip, adn open your mouth and that crap is in there when you are talking to me.. yuk! granted, I guess there's not much of a health risk to me, unless of course I have to pick up your spittoon and maybe you have AIDS then I guess, well, you are spitting body fluids out and therefore it becomes an issue for me!

and public drinking should be added to this list of banned crap.. go to the bar and drink, you gotta get home, and that means driving, which is where my life being in danger comes into play.. I'd rather breathe some second hand smoke than have some impaired asshole take my life..

Mike, I'm not saying you are wrong, I'm saying there's more important stuff to be worrying about... drinking/drug problems, veterans without medical care (ever been to the Hines VA center? you won't go a second time) kids in the middle east dying because the politicians are war mongers.. this is trivial bullshit in my eyes, there are more important issues to deal with at least in my mind.

I agree there is alot more important stuff to deal with out there. I agree with you on the guns thing as well; im just saying that this is how every non-smoker, or atleast the vast majority is looking at this. Its a health risk for them because u smoke, thats just how it is

Where is the health risk for them? Most public buildings are already non smoking. Don't believe the hype that 3 huffs of second hand smoke will harm you in any way. You breath in far greater toxins walking down the street from cars passing by than from the guy smoking outside the door to the place you plan on walking into.

The politians are simply trying to control your freedoms and are using the harm your health as a cheap excuse to get what they want.

I guess I see this as the politicians' way of doing something.. they are taking on the menial bs and making laws while avoiding the harder issues (mentioned above) but at least this way the public sees our elected officials doing something and is passified (not sure on that spelling) rather than taking the hard issues and working them. They are simply going for quantity over quality in my mind...

the only place I can even think of that would be hazardess to your health would be a smokers house because you will be constantly bombarded with smoke to the point that you might as well light one up yourself. Every else it's so easy to avoid it shouldn't even part of this disscussion.
