Does any one know when they start racing on-road cars there - 03-28-2006, 06:56 PM

Somebody told me that they are going to race on-road nitro cars there. I wanted to know if anyone knows when, or if, the races are going to happen

sometime in the summer, because bernie still has too lay down the cement for the on roads. (the on road track will never be run on by a real 1/1 scale car, bernie said)

They have to wait for the ground to settle or something like that.

Unless Bernie told you something in the past two weeks what you say is different than what I heard.

Cement? I heard asphalt. And it would be layed down as soon as the factory which makes asphalt is up and running this Spring. Not Summer.

Wouldn't cement be overkill and a very pricey way to build an outdoor RC track?

we are already on it. The asphalt plant should open maybe middle of April to 1st of May. it's all up to the weather. last I looked last week the ground is still frozen about 3 inchs below the top. so putting asphalt down now would only make a problem later in the year when the ground dos thaw. and the asphalt guy said the hotter it is when they put down the asphalt. the smoother the asphalt would be.
